Is it hollow? Drill a hole and fill that bitch the non-expanding spray foam. Spray foam all the things.

Yeah, my ceiling is only a little over 8 ft if I remember correctly, so there's a lot of space above that. The added benefit to the foamboard is it'd be easier to store stuff up there. Right now I have some extra siding and such just balanced across the joists.

it was probably for lifting some light stuff and/or hay. You could probably use it for taking rtt on and off but engine would be a no go.

I’ve thought about it a lot. Well. A little. I want to have a truck for the bed and storage. There’s enough stuff that is nice to not have in the sleeping/driving area with me (chainsaw, firewood, etc). An suv limits that. And a trailer works, but you then have to deal with a trailer. Most are decent size just with a bed let alone anything else. And they’re hard to bring off road. Not hard but a pain in the arse. Cap would work, I’d still be trading in and getting a 6 ft bed but then I’d have essentially an suv I can pressure wash. It’s still enclosed, and my sleeping area is still where the wood and chainsaw and gasoline goes. And taking it off when not in use, where to store it, etc.

As long as I’m not sleeping in it, a 5 ft bed is plenty for what I do/need it for. The best setup for sleeping I’ve seen was that thread I linked where the guy took out the passenger seat.

with my wife not a fan of camping without running water and a nice bed, I don’t need to worry about more than 1 person so a trailer seems annoying and overkill.

cab is nice and dry and watertight. I don’t have to get up at 4 am to break it down and then kip up in the cab for a few more hours :D

but this all depends on realistically this weekend and then this winter. If I haaaate cold weather camping, and then don’t do much more road tripping anyway, then I’ll just get a cot tent and call it good.

That’s damn cold. I always liked it warm and toasty for running and lifting. Granted, liked is a key word in the past tense. Past tense due to my current belt size.

speaking of which I’m going to go quarter a chicken real quick.

If anyone needs a folding table for camping. I just bought a small one today I think it’s the 4 foot folding ones you see. Ocean stare job lot they’re typically 25 it was on sale for 16. I bought that and a grill cover and a few other small doodads and they gave me a gift card for 22 bucks so I basically just got a folding table and grill cover (which was only 11 bucks anyway) for free. They do also actually have a good selection of dry foods and canned goods like soups and paper towels and whatnot so the gift card isn’t just for chincy shit there. In case anyone needs anything, especially a folding table. Ocean state give it a whirl.

Anyone ever done brake pads on a hybrid? Toyota dealership wasn’t able to source the noise on my wife’s Camry but said the pads were worn. There’s 85k on it and they might be the originals so I believe them that they’re worn. Wondering if it’s something I should just have the shop down the road do since it’s a hybrid or not. I know there’s two systems on those brakes.

I can definitely appreciate it. I had two Cummins Dodges back when they were the thing to have. Some of the things folks did to those old straight 6s were incredible. Never seen 3 turbos before and I'm trying to imagine how it all plugs together.

Same spot the one on Linda's 05 went. For 13 years old I shall not complain.

I use that and spray foam the edges every winter on my bathroom crawlspace. Need a more permanent fix but that hasn't let me down hyet.

    Yup love them Crazy Deals

To the best of my knowledge, brakes are brakes. The 'second' braking system is the regenerative braking that the electric motor does.
Trust me, I used to work for Toyota.

Just slap some pads and rotors on that bad boy, make sure you grease them up well, wire brush the rust, bla bla bla, and you should be golden.

Step 1: Take metal garden shears and cut the orange cables in the engine bay for safety. Please ensure you're standing in a puddle with bare feet, while firmly grasping the metal portion of the shears. Diaper and defibrillator optional.
You sir, owe me a new pair of shorts... That is incredible!

We had a customer in here yesterday with a deleted and tuned 2019. I bet that thing RIPS

yeah I’ve looked up a few videos. I have to check the rotors, if those don’t need to go then it’ll be wicked easy. But like I said it’s got 85k and to the best of my knowledge all original hardware. So I’ll probably do all 4 pads and rotors next weekend. Blech.

Here's a photo of it all buttoned up. It's amazing it all stuffs under the hood! It's a fully built long block and tranny, absolutely gorgeous.

Honestly, the new ones make so much power out of the box, I don't really have the urge to mess with the tuning at all. I'd love to get rid of the complicated systems just for longevity purposes, but it has a lot of balls the way it is. Cranking them up has to be madness and I'm not sure I could afford to keep replacing tires at that point.

a shortly used and low mileage Porsche is wicked cheap in comparison. Their value is as new to show off the money. Not used. A 10 year old/100k crossover is about 50% of its original value probably. A cayenne is about 10% and they’re surprisingly reliable. Not Toyota level but still.
    ....I’ve considered it.
