yeah, get them ballanced. it's cheap. i had a shake in my wheel, then i rotated my tires and it went away. then i had the rear tires rebalanced (since i didn't know which side it was), and the next time i rotated them, there was no shake.

on another note, i just got the lifetime alignment at firestone today. i gotta say, i think i finally found a good tech. i stood there and watched him from the time he drove it onto the lift, until when he took it back down.

    left and right respectively:
    camber .05 .05
    toe .02 .02
    caster 2.4 2.5
    damn near perfect!
and it only took him 20 minutes
took the last guy i had it at over an hour, and the numbers weren't nearly as good.

I was talking to the service manager (not the tech) while the tech was bringing the truck back around afterwards, and he said that just about all of the lifted rigs in the area are done by them becasue of the reputation of their team of alignment guys. said all of the dealers and autobody shops that don't want to be liable for doing lifted trucks send them here.

after that i went out to get the keys from the guy who actually did the alignment (who happens to wheel) and he said that they normally recoment having it checked/aligned every 6 months, but told me that i should come in anytime after i wheel and he'll toss it right up on the rack and make sure nothing got bumped our bent out of place. he also said that if i want to come back with an appontment sometime, he'd spend a good 2 or more hours on it and really dial it in.
    claimed he'd get it to:
    camber 0.0, 0.0
    toe 0.0, 0.0
    caster 2.4, 2.4

bottom line is, i'm pumped, truck drives straighter than the day i got it, and i now know a great place to get an alignment if yall ever need one in the area.

seems to be hit or miss. i've been to some pretty shitty ones. i went into one over the winter after i installed my light racing UCAs. i brought in the instruction sheet that showed how to adjust them, as well as personally walked them through how to do it......they told me they can't do it because they don't have "firestone issued instructions" i quickly got out of there.....so just make sure you talk to the people therre before you let them touch your truck so you knwo they know what they are doing......kinda like having a sit-down with the punk about to take your daughter out.....only it's your truck, so it's more important

You hit a pothole or something dude. There isn't a machine in a tire shop that will bend a wheel.

That's awesome! I think you want one side slightly higher than the other for the caster because of the crown in the road.

I think you have the grass is greener syndrome. I don't understand why you would want a rim that everybody and their mother has when you have something different already.

Tim, are you watching the news???

They are talking about car sales. Ford = 24% GM = 11% Chrysler = 12% and Toyota = 3%. I haven't heard anything on Nissan.
