Over never really thought I needed some, feel like they’d get in the way on anything but snow or ice

 

Yep, if you're on a packed snow trail they make a big difference. Not as much if you're roughing it, though they can still help. They also make ones with a couple of spike options as well as chains.

 

Just use golf shoes and hope your feet don't freeze off

 

Wearing my keens for elk season this year worked out great. Only wore the insulated covers I bought one time. The other days I either put a hand warmer in my boot or wore heavy socks. it wasn't cold cold, though. down into the teens at the worst

Only time I've had to use hand warmers was on my Mt Whitney hike, when we were near the summit at night. Middle of August but freezing that high up with bone chilling wind, those hand warmers were a life saver for keeping my feet warm

Nah, these places keep changing and popping up. Reality of the hobby is most folks I meet in the wild I really don't have much interest in talking to or common ground with besides we both have tires on dirt at the moment. I stick with vehicle specific forums like TW.

Yeah I remember that same meme got posted awhile back and he was tagged, may have been in the other thread before this one was around.

That roof rack, is it custom? Or just an older one that's not around anymore, never seen another one quite like it

I don't get it why the fuck where I live do they take the motor appart to just a block and heads, no one needs an intake manifold or wants a used water pump...

9 hours north it seems logic applies
