Thank you for the help. Is there any ETA on when it will be available? I know it takes some time to build.

    Of course not.

@Mooseditty17 was asking why the TCS light was coming on with the CEL. The CEL being the primary issue here, not the TCS light. He just happened to be flicking the TCS Off button at the time.

It is possible this was only loose and just fell apart recently when the cel came on. Shitty situation all around though.

For those of you that have played with gear locking (@Mooseditty17 & @ForceOfG, maybe others?) I have a couple of questions. This week I decided to give GL a try, so I combed through the thread and picked out the points that looked best. I initially set all of the ECT shift tables to the lowest value for each table. Went for a drive, but quickly found that upshifts from say 4th -> 5th wouldn't happen as I commanded, even when they normally would when I wasn't in ETC Pwr. I went back and revised the upshift tables to have all values set to the corresponding downshift table's lowest value. For example, 2nd -> 1st was 6.909, so I set all 1st -> 2nd values to 6.909. In my head (and so far in the truck) it makes sense. This only allows the higher gear anytime I am above the minimum to keep from bogging, but does not limit upshift request beyond that. Is this what you guys are doing? If not does anyone see a flaw in that logic?

Secondly, I have noticed that the GL shift points seem to be completely ignored until the truck is at least partially warmed up. I've only driven it twice since implementing GL, and both have been immediately after the 2 flash changes. Not sure if it is the tune settling in, or if a different table is used when cold. Both times GL started working at about the same place down the road. I think I saw another mention of temp related shift maps, but has anyone else experience a difference between cold and warm with GL?

Not sure where else to post this...

@OVTune any updates on the Wi-flash cable? I understand the multiple projects OV is involved with, but purchasing the Software/Tunepack and WiFlash cable back in August I'm curious if I have any options other than wait for the release if it is delayed much longer.
BTW I've Zendeskd about this inquiry also.
    Thank you.

What you did makes sense to me. I set my values to be a bit below the stock non ect shift points. This allows me to upshift on command sooner than ect or even the stock non ect settings if I want. I may end up copying what you did though.

And yes there does seem to be a separate map for cold shifting.

It seems to work well having the values matched. I'll know more once I get more miles on it this weekend. One thing that could cause issues is if you were to request a downshift and an upshift at the same time. Thinking along the lines of stabbing the skinny at exactly 6.909. It should be ok as you would quickly accelerate past that and settle into 2nd, but maybe an instant of weirdness.

Good to know there is a cold map. The point that the GL took over seemed too coincidental to be a learning issue. Perhaps after the webinar, we'll have a better understanding of what all of the shift maps represent.
