Ask yourself, instead, why not? Us 3rd genners are doers and go getters asking the difficult questions that others would rather push under the rug. We bring stimulating and in depth discussions to the table, such as "are the headrests too big" and "why do the 4wd knob and A/C knob feel the same and are so close together". It is with these questions that we forge a path through TW...straight to the dumbgeon. It is our destiny

One of my favorites is the volume button question on the steering wheel. "Why is the increase volume up button the right button? I mean wtf... shouldn't turning the volume up be represented by the up arrow? Toyota is not what it used to be"

Geniuses can't figure out that the buttons are laid out to represent how the radio interface works visually and correspond.

hahah I've said just that to many as soon as those threads started popping up, most times it fell on deaf ears. Logically they're as they should be.

To be fair, on my Subaru it is the opposite button setup with the radio interface behaving the same as the Tacoma. More of a manufacturer choice rather than practical.

I just miss being able to slightly click the wipers to get it to stop on my rejection sticker on my 2nd gen. That’s my why 3rd gen question.

Honestly I like it that way. I don't care what the volume bar does on the screen, but changing songs is almost always left and right arrows in players.

Yup! Just because you can, or because "everyone else is doing it," does NOT mean you should.
Think before you act -- this seems to be such a rarity nowadays.
Some decisions cannot be undone and money cannot be un-spent.

I understand how it happens (although i think they feel different and can see them in my peripherals)but when that stuff gets posted as a thread topic, it's not going to go well. You could cook a mean tri-tip on that fire.
It mimics the display with radio stations going up/down and volume going left/right. in my old car the volume was up/down and stations left/right, but it's not like it's a difficult transition.

I didn't find it to be a difficult transition either. Haters gonna hate.
