Downside you can still come in Fridays to finish up those Oh Shit jobs

Working 4/10`s for a year I only had maybe 15 Fridays I never was close to work.

It's actually a weird shift but my dogs won't care.

I'll work Thursday through Sunday for 6 months then work Sunday through Wednesday for 6 months.

Downside: weekends are fucked, upside: time during the week to get things done when everyone is open.

I'm basically M-F 6a to 6p. Been that way for the past 14 years. For where I work that is a very rare schedule.

That's my availability but it's not all work during those hours. Today I left just before 7am for a 10am meeting south of Baltimore. About 5 1/2 hours behind the wheel driving in shitty weather. Was home by 2:30 and spent another hour trying to get IT to allow me to log in to my laptop which I got locked out of right before my presentation at said meeting. :(

Yes the weather can make for a LONG day by itself let alone computer issues! I’m ready for the weekend. Except I’m working 8-2 Saturday... not to bad though. They give you a day off during the week. Off on Thursday so hoping it’s sunshine and 80!! ;-)

Oddly enough for the years I spent in that local, with friends who worked for him, we’ve never met but talk frequently on Twitter.

One of these days I’ll get some honey.

Been doing 4/10's for a couple years now which has been nice since I work 3rd. Started off Wed-Sat, but moved to Sun-Wed which left me have the best part of the weekend off. Although first part of the year I'm going to 2nd shift Wed-Sat. Not the best situation, but I had to come off nights. I can atleast go to sleep while it's still "night." I have no social life at all anymore so it really isn't that big of a deal. Only have one friend, but I like to keep it that way...

Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!!! Snowing here in northeast PA this morning - ground is covered but it's not sticking on the driveway. We really needed the rain - our large pond still below the drain point. Something I've never seen in my lifetime. Stay safe!!

My social life at this point is my dog. I chat with a couple of friends via messenger but the only time I've been around people this year was at AOAA..

Hopefully, this is the correct area to post this. I am looking for a referral for a local independent mechanic for routine maintenance on a 2006 Tacoma 4x4 that I have had since new. I live in the Glenmoore/Elverson area of Chester County, Pa. Any referrals will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Joe

Thu-Sun is gonna suck. They should split the weekend for you.

I've done 4/10's, 5/8's, and a 12-hour rotation of 3 on/4 off followed by 4 on/3 off. I liked the 12-hour rotation best of all, at least once I got off the overnight 12's and onto the daytime 12's. The 4-day stretch leaves you pretty worn out but the 4 days off make up for it.

These days I work a 4-day week from home (I purposely took a pay cut to work fewer days) which turns into 4/12's as often as not. At least I can do it in my underwear.

Yeah it'll suck but it's only 2 days of production in that schedule so it's actually the easier shift.
