memario1214, Just what I was looking for. Great job, gives me a better target for what to expect from the Diode Dynamic Lights.
one or two things I will note about the video which by no means is a critique but more of an observation.

    1. The Factory Fogs are really not that bad especially how they are adjusted from the factory. But on the Diode Dynamics installed lights I noticed a dark/dead zone approx 5-6 ft in front of the truck where as with the factory, that area is lit quite well. And to me that is an important area for fog/inclement weather lights. Hopefully I can adjust the Diode Dynamics to light up that area. (I could actually see the cut off on the factory fogs, the super small area just before blending in with the Headlights, in the Diode Dynamics I see no cutoff they completely blend in.)

    2. In the video, I also noticed a more intense lighting to the passenger/right side. Maybe because of where your camera was mounted? and maybe I'm not getting a true driver perspective.
Great comparison video thank you again.

    1. The OEM TRD H11 wide angle fogs are decent performers, the non-TRD fogs not so much. But note that camera appears to be roof mounted giving a much higher perspective than experienced by the driver. The area not illuminated by the Diode Dynamics fogs just in front of the truck in the video will not be visible from the driver seat, as you cannot see that close to the front of the truck over the hood. The halogen fogs have excessive vertical light spill, both up and down, so they illuminate closer to the vehicle but this is wasted light that would be more efficient to applied elsewhere in the beam that would be useful, since you cannot see that region from the driver seat. The SS3 fogs have much more light control than the OEM fogs. If you still feel the need for a taller beam pattern with more spill, the Pros will offer that.

    2. This appears to be because the camera is on the right side of the vehicle, and the grass on the right shoulder looks brighter illuminating color rather than black pavement in the oncoming lane to the left. There is no difference between the left and right fogs.

1.I know you know much more than me when it comes to anything light related, but I have owned many vehicles trucks, sports cars, etc most if not all had fog lights and all of them had a fairly wide angle of light emission. right now my fogs are just like the ones in the video of the factory fogs. that area you say is wasted illumination actually comes in to use very much at slower speeds on say a two lane road back FM's. Right now when I have my fogs on I have illumination projection right off the tips of my mirrors (85 degrees) not full intensity but its their and it is illuminating the area well enough to be usable like it should. Also, I want to see black ice before I get on a frozen overpass with the area in front the truck illuminated you will see way before your head lights do.

This appears to be because the camera is on the right side of the vehicle, and the grass on the right shoulder looks brighter illuminating color rather than black pavement in the oncoming lane to the left. There is no difference between the left and right fogs

    2. I figured out why the right side of the SS3's looked more illuminated should of known and thats because he's not driving down the middle of the road he's on the right side.

I'm definitely going to purchase some SS3's probably the yellow then buy the clear lens's. But I hope they can be set up very similar to the factory. Like the memario1214's factory lights and mine, and I realize that the SS3's light emission pattern is not as tall as the Toyota TRD's. hopefully I can get a happy compromise

If you watch this video 0:39- 0:43

And with this video I'm feeling good, cause this the way I expect the fogs to be
starting at around 0:40 he is doing a test drive looks very similar to the factory pattern just different vehicle, oh well.

Right. The OEM TRD fogs do have just very slightly better width projection than the SS3s. I've run 6+ different fog configurations in my truck and I'll easily say SS3s are unmatched in performance. If you have the TRD fogs, you will lose just a couple degrees to the sides, but you will gain significant output intensity everywhere else in the beam pattern with better cut off in the pattern. And if opting for selective yellow you gain a more useful color for poor weather conditions. The very small width loss is very much worth the significant performance gain. You won't be disappointed.

If I might offer an additional opinion, there's one more thing that negatively affects the video. If the brush on the sides of the road weren't so tall, you'd have a much better picture of the true width of each pattern. I'd also offer that most roads have a certain amount of "crown" built in for proper drainage. That means the vehicle will be angled down with respect to the right side and up with respect to the left side.

Also true. I intentionally chose a road with higher brush to make sure that you could see the breadth of the pattern. The camera that I have (and most cameras) will not pick up this amount of light well in a video. I'm working through ways to be able to capture more light to be able to more accurately represent what my eye sees while underway, but it's a work in progress. Photos are much easier to get an "accurate" view since I can manipulate how much light I pull in with time.

Side note: If someone has suggestions I will happily accept any!

Selective Yellow = Orange = Amber depending on where you are looking to purchase Diode Dynamics SS3s.
Ex. On my site the color reads as "Orange" because that is the only color that HTML recognizes to allow me to put down a color swatch.

HOWEVER, do not think that all yellow lights mean they are a "selective yellow" output - Quote pulled from @crashnburn80 earlier in this thread on the SS3s:

Ok, well it was your site I was shopping. So orange is indeed the selective yellow?

You’re referring to the Diode Dynamics SSC2 Sport fogs right?

No the ss3 spot fogs. I don't drive that truck in shit weather often but do enough. So bit of a bummer. Why I got a set if pro c2 fogs for the daily which sees the most winter driving.

Also I got my C2 pros and they seem nice. Couple minor gripes @Diode Dynamics

The mount. The bolt that holds the mount to the light has so much play in it. It'll make aiming a bit of a hassle and I imagine very easy for it to get out of alignment. Tighter tolerance here would be nice or a better fitting bolt.

And the mount with the plug in the light can be back all the way. So the light has to point down if you want to mount it to something directly behind the light. This could be solved by moving the bolt holes down just a touch.

For everyone else the connector of course sticks out a good ways past the light so be sure to take that into account when trying to plan on where to mount them.
