    Hey y'all
I've wanted a Tacoma maybe the last 5 years, finally can say I own one now. Recently got a 2015 TRD Sport Access Cab with 46k miles. Bought from a retired carpenter who used it near exclusively for trips to Lowe's, came with every service record and the truck looks close to new to me. Couldn't be happier.

I've know the Sport trim is essentially a dolled-up SR5. I spend a lot of time on dirt roads and snow, no real intentions towards heavy wheeling and rocky terrain. Can't afford to replace anything too expensive at the moment.

Knowing this, anything I should be conscious of coming up on 50k and further out? Maintenance, common problems etc.

It came with a Leer shell, and I'd like to put a Prinsu, UpTop etc. rack on both cab and shell. Will supporting the ~250lbs, constantly on the rear suspension, wear it out pre-maturely? I've mostly read suspension is solid to ~60k. Worth looking into sooner?

Apologies if these are basic search bar questions, needed a place to post some pictures as well
Loaded up for a trip down Cataract Canyon last week!

    Thanks!

What exactly are you looking for? Something beyond the stickies and search?

I guess just any advice you'd give to a new owner. Never been super knowledgeable about cars as a whole. Somewhat stumbled into being able to get a Tacoma and don't totally know how to can keep this as perfect as I can outside of a dealership telling you come back in x mileage.
    Thanks

Congratulations on the Tacoma, and welcome to TW.
    She looks good
Personally I'd change all the fluids first. Start fresh.

Welcome to club Taco. Since you have all the service records you know exactly what’s been done and when. In 46000 miles there’s very little maintenance that is required other than oil changes. If everything has been done then I’d just do what ever is called for in the om/service manual for the 50000 service. Probably start with the oil change and check things like the air filter, cabin filter and so on.

    Stock for now.. maybe

Any reason you are looking for a prinsu rack? Im not to familiar with them but I've heard they are expensive. I know Yakima and Thule are pretty Overpriced as well but you can find decent deals on Yakima towers and rails on ebay pretty regularly. Ive put over ten kayaks on my Yakima on both my 1995 tacoma and 2015 (both have a shell). Wish I could find a picture right now

This is my 95 with an older oar rig a creek boat and paddleboard loaded with no problem with weight ever so far.

I will say if you plan on going down some bumpy putin roads while loaded down on top of the camper shell it is worth investing in some good bed stiffeners. I never had this problem with my 1st gen tacoma but noticed my 2nd gen it was needed while running shuttle on back roads and such. Our 2015 have a composite bed and I noticed the gap on the tailgate was opening up signifying the bed was starting to bow out. If you are going to be on non bumpy roads without loading down the shell I won't think you need them though

    Nice truck, awesome find!
