I have a 2021 OR with a stock exhaust. I have acquired an black TRD oval exhaust tip from a buddy and would like to add it to my truck. I will have to cut the flare off the end of the current pipe.
I am curios if there are any brackets to hold the tip on or does it have to be welded on?

My 2020 OR came with an exhaust tip which I took off. The I.D. of the tip was slightly larger than the OD of the flare on the exhaust, it was held on by a band clamp and had two aluminum shims to make up the difference between the diameter before the flare and the diameter of the exhaust tip. Not sure, but yours might be missing some pieces.

Here’s a TRD tip for ya! Be careful cleaning your Guage cluster. It scratches way easier than u think it does.

Yea, no need for cutting. Just need the pieces behind the “bell” and the clamp

You're missing the clamp, not sure it can be bought from dealer or not (probably can if you can figure out wtf part number it is).

I only ask since I have seen other on the forum stating the black tips need to be welded but the chrome tips attach woth a clamp.

If you really want the clamp bits, I think I have two sets in the crawlspace.

Does the oval fit over the non-flared section with some gap?

Honestly, the pre-axle dump sounds good enough to keep me away from cat backs. But if you want the clamp bits, toss me a PM.

Decided on welding the exhaust tip on. Felt a little more comfortable with it being welded then clamped on.
Turned out pretty nice in my opinion.

Looks good! The Exhaust tip on the TRD catback exhaust is welded on unlike the regular chrome or black Toyota tips.
