I'm going to have to get a daily driver so that I can start taking my truck apart all the time like the cool kids.

Just line it up and smack it with a deadblow a couple times. That's how you do leaf spring bushings. :notsure:

Same. I tend to draw the line at things that require really specialized tools or are unlikely for me to get right they very first time...like resurfacing a head.

Keep in mind that all this LCA bushing talk completely depends on the often frozen alignment cams actually letting go and not requiring torch/death wheel/sawzall to remove the
    arm in the first place.

    Ask me how I know.

Or setting backlash and pinion angle in a diff. I came very very close to attempting that on my fist jeep. I'm so glad that I didn't.

I did that once with a friend. It wasn't terrible, but he'd done it before and had the right tools. That axle hasn't blown up yet that I know of...

I helped my dad replace the bushing in his 96 Mazada B4000.

Rented the a press at Autozone and stuck the bushings in the freezer before hand and it went a lot smoother than we both thought it would have....

Yeah, I've done the freezer thing as well as using CO2 to cool the bearing. I've even froze a bearing and heated the bearing housing in the microwave wrapped in a damp paper towel. It was a trying time.
