Thanks! Me too. It's far from perfect, but I've learned a lot and it's given me something productive to do.

 

If you were still in Texas and close to NM I might have had you do the same thing to mine.

 

Oh man, you'd need some patience for that. I've got a notebook full of sketches for this thing and some measurements but nothing near enough to recreate it. . I appreciate the vote of confidence though!

I'm saving my pennies for a set of budbuilt skid plates and I keep checking their site. I sometimes feel they are going to drop it from their inventory.

 

I know how this feels. I recently bought a new set from BudBuilt because I was concerned about long term availability. Did the same thing on a new set of Alcan springs for the same reasons.

 

The 02 still cleans up good.

Just an idler pulley bearing screaming into the grave. Got lucky!

 

Crank pulley bolt backed out on me. Luckily the bolt landed on my skid plate so I didn’t lose it. I ran into dead stop traffic though and that caused me to piss coolant everywhere since the fan wasn’t spinning. But, I didn’t have my tools with me so I couldn’t fix it and had to have it towed to firestone.

That sucks. Was the timing belt just done? That sucker needs to get torqued down good

Interesting, was the crank bolt replaced or reused?
I know a lot of people reuse it but I got a new one when mine was done, just for the peace of mind
