Why do I have to keep replacing my front bearings?

I'm not to the end of the thread yet, but do you have your alignment numbers? Your tire wear is odd, but may or may not be related.

I just have one question, and I may have missed it somewhere, but is it always the same side that needs replacing/has unusual tire wear?

Something happened to this truck, I would be inclined to trade it to some dealership for something else. Just me.

Maybe I'm too much of a pessimist/glass half empty kind of guy, but I think they are either incompetent, ripping you off, or both. They are likely replacing both sides each time because it's the "the norm" to replace both sides when one goes (I personally only replace the bad side myself, but I do it myself as well - plus I'm a cheap lazy a$$). So it MAY be the same one side going bad each time, but they're changing both because it's "the norm," and they can charge you for two bearings instead of the one that's bad.

The tire wear MIGHT be from the suspension mods (I think I read that you have some kind of suspension mod?). If not done correctly, especially where the truck becomes lifted, it will especially affect your camber where the outer edge of your tires take the brunt of the rubbing/scrubbing from the pavement. I believe it's the outer edge of your tires that keep blowing out?

For the bearing, if they are getting the raw bearing module (without a pre-pressed hub), they might be using a monkey to press the hub into the bearing module, and not supporting the inner race properly. If they press the hub with no inner race support, it will damage the bearing/race from the get go, and it may not "show up" for many miles as the bearing/race wears abnormally over time.

Yes we will see the outcome of the inspection today. I just paid my truck off last week and was hoping to be out of payments for a long time!! But will see what happens

all U mentioned dont relate to premature wear on wheel bearings

unless U r hauling truly HEAVY

at Speeds in the HOT HIGH desert

with spacers that put stress on Ur spindles

all the above dont relate to bad wheel bearings

i hate to say this but................

maybe they just see a girl coming in the door

    id find a better shop

They said having the bad ball joints would wear out the bearings faster and that the other mechanics at the dealership should of looked at the ball joints. My truck has a clunky sound when going over bumps but not knowing that much about mechanical things i was under the assumption it was my shocks and was saving up to have them all replaced as it was not covered under my warranty..they also said the ball joints are the cause of my wheel alignment issues..and the sway bar and links are also the cause of the noise. They said my bearings are still good. This was a new mechanic shop as i WILL NEVER go back to the Kia dealership where i bought the truck!!

He also said i was pretty much riding around in a death trap as all 4 ball joints are very bad. With my warranty up and having paid my truck off i figured i would get no where with Kia and teying to make them pay for it..i have had multiple issues during all my fixes there as they didn't seem to know how to fix things properly..i had made them pay Toyota for a few of the fixes..long story short i was going to have a meeting Monday with the owner of Kia because i am pissed and given the history of my truck and them was going to see what agreement we could come to but it's not worth my time..i bought a $25,000 truck that i paid in 3 years so they can just loose my business forever and anyone i know!! And i don't want their mechanics anywhere near my truck again!!

Sounds like my theory might have some merit!

Bill the warranty company for far more work then was ever done.

Best of Luck here on out!!

no one should be lead down the path as U have

bad ball joints will cause a multitude of issues

the inspection is simple/ez.......the cure expensive
