Quick question. Is it possible to change the delay of the lights staying on ? Mine tend to stay on for 30?! seconds or so, which seems to long to me as it senselessly drains the battery imo

As long as you drive for a good distance, the alternator will charge the battery no problem. Also my alarm/keyless entry automatically turns on and turns off the dome light and map light so the lights never stay on too long.

Don't worry about it, your truck has the smarts to cut power before over-draining the battery, even if you accidentally leave a map/dome light on.

    (I think...)

You can also double-push your lock button to turn the lights off.

It won’t have any negative effect on your battery.

I agree with OP. It’s a stupid amount of time the lights stay on so you almost feel you gotta wait around to make sure they turn off. I use the double-push of the lock to turn them off, but would love to simply disable the feature entirely. I’m not sure what it’s supposed to achieve. Is this another one of those safety things for those safety-obsessed people, or is it supposed to be helpful?

I actually like the delay, especially when you are in a very dark area, it gives you a chance to get to a door, or place where you can turn on a light.

You can change it in the radio settings, also hitting lock twice turns them off

    1. Start the truck
    2. Menu -> Settings -> Scroll down then click Vehicle -> Vehicle customization

Here you can change the lock beep volume, unlock all doors with single key fob press, headlight time, etc. I turned my headlight time to 0 or off because I also didn't like this "feature" after turning the truck off.

Awesome! Thank you. I used the key fob hold for 5 seconds to do the door unlock!
