Not a problem, its 4.625 inches from the base of the mount to the end.

yes, I have done the mods

short answer is yes, it will fit.

My setup is here - I've got a Pelfrey 31M battery cage and Gilmore's winch switch bracket. The battery I have in there now is a 27F, so a little smaller, but the 31M Pelfrey cage does allow for the switch to fit.

I dunno how much harder install would be - I managed to time my install with other projects, so I had my battery out, which gave me a lot more knuckle clearance. And I imagine most other engine bays won't be the giant spaghetti dinner of wires that mine is, so probably easier.

@Gilmore61 was even cool enough to tweak the design for me - preproduction models of the winch switch bracket were too long to fit with the Pelfrey battery cage - so he shortened them up and sent me a new one.

I went for a similar look. Yours looks much better. A+ man!

Been working to extend the leads on my control box so I can mount it in the engine bay. Should have pictures of my bracket in the next day or so.

You have my attention. I need to upgrade from my tiny craftsman air compressor, and I love the idea of it in a hard case for protection and mobility. I toyed with the idea of mounting in the engine bay; or in the bed cubby, but Id prefer a mobile unit that I could toss in my plow truck or my brothers wheeling rig in the chance Im not using my tacoma.

Huge thanks for the clarification and pictures brother, looks like it justtttttt cleared your battery cage!

Man i LOVE it!! That looks great! Can't wait to see it mounted up!

Look forward to seeing pictures

Good to know. I'll keep you updated! My goal is to have these ready for the end of the year. A few design changes and alot of abusive testing to go before they are ready :D

I'm actually taking the prototype off the bed rack today to toss in the Tundra I'm using to pull my trailer to move in case of a blow out!

    Received and replied!

I like the design! Any chance you’ll turn it into a Velcro backed patch I can add to my headliner patch collection?
