Because you can’t watch video while you’re moving. Same reason you can’t text and drive or scroll through Instagram

Hi guys, I end up getting pioneer unit, 4660, simple and new. clutch field is selling for $600. I guess that’s decent

however, when we switch to aftermarket unit, we do lose some OEM features right? It says something like speed sensor is missing.

very happy with the video while the car is in motion; of course no video should be playback while in motion.

CarAVAssist gave me some trouble, but, eventually figured out. now streaming youtube is also viable.

the key is the license, few hoops to jump through, search and browse your setting selection one by one, you will find it.

then download app via your phone and you will also need to get connect the wifi setting as well.

I've got a Sony XAV 1000 and I just ordered a 5000 for my new to me 2015. I like them a lot. The interface is simple and clear. The sound is good. It does Apple Carplay and Android Auto (I have Android but my wife is Apple) Calls and music can be streamed through Bluetooth but any data like maps has to have the phone plugged in. I don't really mind because I don't like having my phone in my pocket if I'm driving any length. I installed the parking brake bypass. They are easy to find on Amazon and easy to wire into the stereo harness; I don't watch video when I drive, it was just easier than digging into the parking brake wiring. You can also connect multiple cameras. I have a rear but I'm going to connect a front and possible a trailer as well.

My only complaint about the unit is that it is a little slow to turn on when you first start the truck. I'm hoping the new one I ordered is better. If you read reviews online you see people complain about the warning screen when it first turns on. It's really not a big deal, I don't know why people make such a big deal about it.
