Yep you make make a bung hole and weld the bung in.

Jason (glorified welder on TW) is the one that drilled and welded my bung on, he told me he sometimes gets people asking to have it drilled/welded onto the headers but he doesn't recommend it. Had to do with how the metal shavings from drilling can get sucked back up into the engine during startup, or something along those lines

 

Yes. The upstream sensor plugs into the y pipe on them and a 2 bolt flange connects to the stuff I had coated with some space to possibly weld one after.

 

You'll have to take the y pipe off. Or put it right before the first cat.

 

98's only have one cat - two bolts and a v band can get the cat out, sounds good when the time comes.

So a multi gauge has a vacuum tube input and the afr input?

 

Yep also a tach input for the shift light and a bypass output to control a relay.

 

Why can't you tap the stock afr? The relay would manage?

 

because your skewing the stock afr to read 14.7 and the added afr gauge to read what is the true afr. The relay is used for boost cut if the AFR'S go beyond a lean set point you pick or a high boost situation with a turbo. Also can be used as a valet mode to limit boost. That's how mine is set up. I use a mac vacuum switching valve to cut boost. You don't have to use the relay.

I’ve been getting a P0171 code on my 03 taco with a gray 1st gen super charger.
I recently cleaned the MAF.
I inspected the vacuum hoses...all look good.

Next I sprayed some carb cleaner on the vacuum hoses and the throttle body gasket. No changes.

When I sprayed the carb cleaner onto where the SC meets the intake from the driver side the engine ran rough at idle.
I tried this several times with the same result. It runs fine when I spray the carb cleaner from the passenger side.
I replaced the metal intake plenum gasket with a new one and put everything back together and torqued it all down to 13 ft lbs.

I Sprayed more carb cleaner into the same area and got the same result....it runs rough for about 5-10 seconds after I spray the carb cleaner.

What am I missing?

I fought that code for awhile when I first got my truck, didn't know anything at the time about vehicles and had the dealer try to figure it out. They fired the parts cannon at it and nothing worked, eventually they called in a master tech from Toyota and he found a vacuum leak on the back of the supercharger where the EGR port is. If it isn't in use, it needs to be properly capped and mine had come off.

I have the black supercharger but if the grey one has the same port on the back, I would check that and make sure it's capped off well

I think I saw you post the same in another thread or this one.
I checked my EGR port. My SC was just rebuilt by high speed lab about 5k miles ago. It looks like they RTV’d and bolted the port cover back on. It’s well sealed.

 

I would do a smoke test, that would find it or the dealership can do a smoke test

 

You could also get a can of carb cleaner with the long plastic spray tube to narrow down the spray pattern too
