    Lol yeah there's been some insane winds here which we knew before moving but it's another to experience it living here. Most houses in the rural areas like ours have trees planted as wind breaks but we really need some more to the back.

    I've got all winter to look up what I'm planting come spring :devil:

    Unfortunately oaks aren't really a species in Montana, mostly pines. I may go a little Christmas crazy and plant some Douglas firs and larch for color. We'll see though, I'd also like to plant some fruiting trees so some cherry will be in order though they won't offer any height for winds.

    We got 50 acres and about 2-4 acres of trees that fell! So we have been having them every freaking weekend cause the “disaster relief” that’s been going around picking up stuff is limited to what they can pick up per household thanks to our lovely governor we have!

    Yeah, most of what we had in CA was oaks, but not out here. Shit tons of cottonwoods everywhere. I will NOT be planting those :puke:
