To all who own a set of 6112s, is it better to go with 600 pound springs or 650?

Stock truck- the way the 6112 kit comes.
Modified truck- 650lb or 700lb depending on how much weight is on the truck.

but YMMV and it depends on what you want the truck to do.

I dont plan to put a bumper on it anytime soon, the only weight comes from my 33s I would think. My truck is a 2015 Tacoma 4WD TRD, do you happen to know what rating the springs are on my model from the factory?

Tire weight not an issue for the stock 6112 kit.

I believe the stock TRD springs are 540lb.

You can run up to 700lb on those struts, 700lb King coils work great with them as well as the 600lbs coils, 700 is ideal with a winch bumper and any added weight in between axles. we just installed a set of them today at Westcott Designs

I’m running 3 skids, winch, winch mount, sliders. 6112’s w/600 lb springs. 650 lb will be my next coils.

I dont understand why they make them to be adjusted that high if the ride quality is going to be bad.

I just want to say, it’s probably a cheap coil. Most people replace them with ome. I don’t mind the stiffness. I just happen I replace my ome shocks. Big difference 3x bigger
