Next week we would like to release, for 04B04, the final, performance version to a few select folks just for some verification.

Oh... Shit. Well the files were there recently. I think @OVTune said something about creating a new website because of all of his stuff being marked as spam and unsafe and malware by Google. Maybe it has something to do with that.

 

Probably. My chrome refuses to download anything from there, even with all protections turned off. I have to use Edge, lol.

Microsoft is trying to get you to use edge by making OVtune look unsafe. Microsoft is the whistleblower.

 

I have to jump through hoops with Edge and Chrome.

Anyone in the Bay Area have a Tactrix I can borrow/rent/buy? I'm tuning my buddy's truck this weekend in another city and mine all of sudden stopped working today. Connection SEEMS fine (Tactrix lights up, USB connection sound made) but my buttons are greyed out to identify, read, flash, etc. Tried running flash manager for p5f files and it cannot find the connection. Updated drivers, reinstalled, reset, everything I can think of. I emailed @OVTune for warranty options, but I know this will take time. Will bring beer, boba, whatever lol. Just need this for the weekend so I can figure out the warranty replacement in the mean time.

Why is @OVTune Calling this device a vF Tuner Wi-Flash Cable ?

There is no cable. Why not call it a Cable-Less vF Tuner Wi-Flash ?
Or something other than a cable, Feel free to offer a different name.

 

Try reinstalling the drivers

 

I tried this. Even uninstalled the program and drivers and reinstalled everything. And restarted my computer, of course...

 

Check that your sys ID matches your reg key.

If it doesn’t match, you got a windows update which generated a new ID so you need to request a new key with your new ID

 

Nailed it... It doesn't match anymore! Reaching out to @OVTune about this now. Hopefully I get a response in time to tune my friends truck while I'm in town this weekend! Thanks a bunch @Shellshock !

 

I've got the 04B04, run 93 oct, but my 5.29's don't go on until the 9th of Nov... If you still need testers, I'm your Huckleberry!

Is there a place on OVtune's website where they explain each tune? Finally got the tunepack, but I have to spend 4 "credits" to unlock just one out of like 30. Don't want to accidently unlock the wrong one.
Also as an aside, Am I reading into this the wrong way? I paid $300+ for the tacoma tune pack but still have to spend credits to unlock the tunes in the pack?

 

You spend 4 credits to unlock the ECU ID for the truck Other ECUs will be additional 4 credits. Then request the tune pack and you get all the tunes for that ECU ID that you can edit or keep like it is
