 Hope all is well with him!

My Toller was bred on July 4th, I pick up one of his sons on Saturday. Don't know which one yet but trust the breeder totally. She has always picked well for me. Nova will be 6 next month and is in his prime. Leave for home in the morning hasn't been above freezing for 12 days now. But he doesn't give a damn.

Had his sister this summer as a Foster dog teaching her discipline and impulse control which the original owners failed to do, I left the cabin mid month for a few days to take her to her forever home in Wi. I still miss her.

But she landed in the perfect home for her and the new owner and glad to have had the privilege of knowing and working with her.

the dog is back from his neutering! he’s stoned or drunk or both. He got lucky because he doesn’t have to wear a cone :bananadance:

I can always tell when it’s getting colder. This is where I left her this morning after she refused to get up....

Definitely the boxer. It reminded me of a singer from the 70’s...Rod Stewart.

This turd is almost out of the puppy stage, she’s really calmed down in the last week or two

Yeah, he's about 3-1/2 years old now.
So much energy that you'd think he's still a puppy though. The good thing is that he really likes to please - and he's got an older brother (GSP) that is very well trained.

I had a 5 yo rehomed GSP as a kid, and he never had on off switch, like he was on crack. He was my only experience with bird dogs, but I imagine most having that energy level if they come from working lines.

They said labs calm down after three or four. Riley has only slowed down because of his health issues-the desire is still there but the body just won't cooperate. He's 11-1/2.

GSP's can be a handful. Most sporting and working dogs can be. I have always had bird dogs from English Setters to Tollers and for the last 30 years settled on Tollers. Sporting and working dogs need a job and if they don't have one can get into trouble.

Pick up another pup tomorrow. Breeder bred my current Toller on July 4th and up until a few minutes ago wasn't sure which one I was going to end up with. Because I want a hunter the wild, fearless and crazy one of course.

With a pet dryer turned to low to get them used to noises-

I don't think intro to gunfire with him will be an issue LOL. Today he was the only one to pick up a pigeon, chukar and duck. And the duck was a lot larger than he is.
