not this weekend, but coming up looking at going to jackson meadows area soon to get a trip in before winter, but also go back for winter camping. This weekend might be one of the last decently warm weekends if one wants to avoid frozen temps

Oh, I never said I was good. In fact, the main reason is to get away from my neighbor across the street who thinks I'm gonna help him carry and move a king size memory foam mattress down a flight of stairs.

Probably by scratching the sides of my new pickup one way or another. And honestly, how tf do you cart a king mattress around in a tacoma? Homeboy obviously did not think this through.

Not sure about the size, but moved 3 times with my tacoma from when i was renting. Had that stuff packed like the perfect tetris puzzle that it was only strapped down so as not to worry others

Stock 4x4 doable. Could even head up Kings Canyon from Carson, cross 50 and then on to Genoa. Note: Kings Canyon route is stock friendly, but scratched paint is probable.

Depends on the driver. Could be as short as 2-3 hours for the whole thing, driving slowly it could take most of the day. Each section is about 9-10 miles I believe

Easy but fun. There may still be a log pile across the west section of trail that might require winching over. Not sure if the aspens are still popping but it’s a great ride for fall colors.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
I took Nevada day to go try and scratch out some quail in Dixie Valley. Big mistake. Tons of people, and I don't think any of them were looking for birds (I saw them out there in April, which is why I went back).

Looked mostly like weekenders, scaring the birds off. I did see a big herd of Antelope, though, and checked out a neat spring up above the fault line.

I think today I'm gonna try and figure out where the trail up towards Hunter Lake is, from over by Cabelas. Maps are a little unclear to me, beyond "south side of 80 at the Cabelas exit". And I have a sweet new Ruger Wrangler I want to test out. :)

Did an overnighter to some hot springs (same ones I met you at last year). Only a couple other people out there. The whole area is one huge silt bed right now though. Never seen it like that before but I assume it’s from the dry summer and a lot of people using it. Very cold last night.

Also driving by Sand Mountain I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many people out there before.
