Curious why you are removing the light bars?

Because I haven't found a good solution for my three way switch to mount want without hacking my shit up. Also the two lightbars interfere with my dual band radio on both bands uhf and vhf. Plus it's a clutter under my hood

Have any of y’all plasti dipped your chrome ring around the grill?

I’m guessing just put down paper and tape off the grill and rest of the front end, clean with alcohol, and apply light even coats?

You might consider, at 6:15 here, Last Line of Defense has his switches mounted (3m tape) next to the shifter for quick access. Edit: just noticed you're removing the light bars...

Those are some good reasons. At least it was not due to product quality issues. Thanks for the response :)

...and put on the Bro Grille. I know everyone has one, but IMO it is the best looking Tacoma Grille available. Sorry not sorry.

Drove it more than 10 miles in one go for the first time in a while. With work from home and all my summer plans getting canceled due to covid it was nice just to drive it some more than normal.

I agree its the best looking, as long as you like it who cares what anyone else thinks...I put the pro grille on too, and also had the sport grille painted, I may put that back on at some point, seen some examples of them on the truck, they look better black than gray.

Don't get me wrong, the stock grille is fine, but I am not a fan of the chrome Toyota emblem and I love the nostalgia of T O Y O T A being spelled out on the pro grille.

I did. I just took the whole thing off. Be careful with the tabs holding it on and you won’t have any issues.

Painted the OEM skid plate red. Also replaced all the bolts while it was off considering I broke one while removing it.

Seen a lot of black out door latches. Anyone do reflective door latches?

Basically yes. I separated the chrome surround from the rest of the grill. It's really easy once the grill is off. I have an SR5, if that makes a difference I don't know.
