Thanks. That big one was a 9 pounder my friend caught, for reference. Biggest one I've seen out of this lake, I usually catch 2-4 pounders there.

Yeah we each took about 1/2 gallon bag home, already made half of my bag for dinner. Gotta love fresh fish.

 

Especially GOOD catfish!

If he was in the yard I would have smoked him. He was far enough from the house I would have felt bad if I shot him.

 

Yep, people catch them out of the Mississippi River here but I dont trust them to be clean, our part of the river is super industrial. This lake is pretty clean and the catfish are healthy and in crazy numbers.

 

Reminds me of the first and only time I went hunting with my dad. He had some beers, I had a sandwich and a nap, and no deer were seen lol. Still a great memory between us though.

 

Time for some LED’s when I can find time to get them in.

 

Spent a lot of time cleaning sticks and leaves out of the yard today. Had to rake the whole front because of so many limbs from the storm. Had to add some ends and extensions to the carry all. Had about 15 loads. Kids helped.
