Used my truck’s stereo to provide scary sounds for the cul-de-sac; Was more than sufficient enough, and it was a hit with kids and parents alike!

PT Cruiser. Highlights: went thru 3 sets of motor mounts at ~$900 a go. PS pump (x2) parts were a normalish ~$250 but +$600 in labor because had to basically disconnect and raise engine /trans for access. Same for a/c compressor that only lasted a few years anyway. Further insult were the chrome clad steel wheels that rusted from the inside out causing constant slow leaks. Lastly: brakes were way undersized, seemed to replace F or R every other year.

 

Honorable mention, but probably self induced due to niev e’te:

early 90’s I bought a 1968 Dodge Charger with a 440 for $3k. Idea was a daily driver that could cruise and do some drag racing. Damn, that thing broke me (and broke every single part (except the long block itself) many times over. Good thing hi test was only like $1.25/gal then because I think it only got like 8MPG

Today is a very historic day!

 

A very close longtime family friend has died from COVID-19 this morning; He was 80 years old, and he was heavily sedated and on a ventilator when he died

 

Sucks to hear my friend

 

One day on the trails a few years back l stumbled upon this old Chevy, was probably stolen and burned after a joyride. Or someone had a loan on it and couldn't pay for it so they drove it way out there and burned it, lol.

 

Nice find. My friend may or may not have done this to his Mitsubishi 3000 GT in 2005 lol
