I was worried about it cause our daughter goes to bed early and her room faces the front yard, but we haven't gotten one tonight. Last year we got a hundred lol. Covid I guess, there are houses sending candy down slides from their porch to the kids lol

 

That's sad. We use to take my nephew around Arcadia. Some of the best trick or treating. People would hand out beer to the adults. Maybe next year.

If I'm reading the fsm and Adventure Taco's timing belt guide right both camshaft pulleys and crankshaft timing gear notches should align to set cylinder #1 to TDC. So it's looking like the R camshaft pulley is a bit off? This is how the truck currently sits with the old tensioner and belt untouched. The notches are all perfect on the L pulley and crankshaft timing gear.

 

well... the Mercedes might be receiving an engine swap.. its not looking good for the engine..

a 2RZ and adapting it to the stock 4 speed auto or going 5 speed manual is possible...

 

if the crank mark and the left mark are lined up, that bank is a tooth off

Interesting. So the truck got put up for auction in the mid 2000s after someone put almost 200K on it. So this gates timing belt is this motors second belt in ~300K miles.

Yeaah. Old stuff has that problem. Are there any MB specific vendors? The british cars have a few like moss and victoria british that are pretty handy. Or are you just stuck with ebay?
