We have a gusty wind advisory for tomorrow morning (30-40mph), I'm gonna sleep in, wash a huge pile of hunting clothes and go in the afternoon. Wind suppose to be under 20 by then.
Also...not a bad afternoon today, saw one small buck, one 120(ish) 8pt and 5 does.

I'm still waiting to go to my favorite spot, hope there's something in there when I do.
    Best of luck!!

How long ago were those days? did you start out hunting with a recurve?

I have been thinking about getting a recurve to start practicing with but I don't know if that is a can of worms I want to open.

I started bow hunting in 1974 and yes I started with a recurve. I’ve seen a lot of technology come and go with archery equipment. I envy the guys who want to stay with the more traditional or primitive equipment but that’s not my cup of tea.

I started bow hunting with a recurve in 71-72 and could shoot one almost as well as any compound I have had. Its just the amount of practice you have to do with a recurve. When I was a teenager I had all kinds of time to shoot but now, I have little time to even hunt. The younger guys here will never know the joy of hours of shooting jut to shoot and perfect a traditional bow.

I'm about to get out of my truck. Went to check the swamp and it's just too nasty...pretty much solid mud. Oh well, try something else. Good luck!!
