    Hey B, howzit hangin?

Got a friend on here Andrew @Majora that has some questions about the Powertray and what hardware is used? Thought you could help out. Oh, and about the electrical setup you went with.

    Thanks,
    Rob

Hey buddy! Sure thing, the PowerTray comes with the necessary hardware to mount it using pre-existing holes in the engine bay. I don't think they make them anymore, but I'm running the older version of the 6-switch SPOD unit.

I gotcha! Well I tried to be smart and I purchased a used tray that didn't come with mounting hardware. What is the size of the bolt used for the tray?

I'm not sure what the specs are for the hardware but you could contact the Powertrays site.

@boogie3478 - You still happy with your Redline hood struts? Debating between those and the Spiker. Both are about the same price right now.

Both are fine, but I'd go with Spiker. I've had/had both.

I'm on my second set of Redline Elites. I do wish the hood went higher. Hindsight is (always) 20/20.

That's why I like the Spiker. They go much higher.

I've had mine for about 5 years now and they still hold the hood up fine, but they no longer raise the hood by themselves like they did before.

I've often wondered if I just moved both sets of brackets back an inch or two if it wouldn't have a similar effect?????

I don't think it'd open easily or at all. That's my guess. The Spiker struts were definitely longer, but mounted about the same place.

Looks great! Glad you finally got them installed. Those KCs have some crazy light output!
