Does anyone know of any decent looking, solid bumper/front end protection guards that aren’t cheap looking? I’d rather not replace the entire bumper but just add some protection against the pesky 4 legged insurance premium killers. But, if replace it... I want it to look nice, reaaaaal niceB9023C5F-B954-4D56-9CF2-BDEAB679623D.jpg

You're going to catch a lot of flak here about bumper guards/bull bars, so before the grouch patrol gets here and does it all mean-like, I'll let you know politely that what you're looking for may not exist.

Bull bars are typically OK for shopping carts or maybe low-speed kisses with corners and fenceposts, but they actually tend to make the damage WORSE when hitting a large or medium animal, or even a low(er) speed impact with another vehicle. They tend to buckle inwards and smash the grille, radiator, and hood when you might have otherwise got away with a bumper.

This is simply due to the nature of how they mount and how they're constructed. Sorry!

Bumper guards/bull bars = damage multipliers

best advice is to replace with steel bumper

Met a guy in a home cheapo parking lot with a taco loaded for bear.... Related a story about how this was his 2nd taco as he took out a deer with the 1st. Ppl were amazed he was able to drive it home.
He had an ARB bumper with winch up front.
Edit: found the pic I took:

No worries, logic tells me that going with a steel replacement is best and an add on would crush inward and create more headaches. Thanks for advice!!

Even if there's a bull bar with the build strength of a full bumper, you are still not getting full front end protection.
