A little something every chance we get.
I should know better when it's THAT clear during the day! "It didn't get that cold this early last year, did it?" Picking on our old memory cells is just cruel!

    Hi all
With all this talk about the weather I thought I'd share this picture of some kid's very creative Halloween costume.
    (Dressed as Jim Cantore)
    Also, Happy Halloween to y'all!

Just like now, got off the phone with my buddy, looked out the window and there are 3 doe standing in my yard!
Guess I could try to shoot one in my underwear, that should make for a good picture! :anonymous:

Good morning, everyone. If I hunted, I could get turkey, deer and pheasant without ever leaving my back porch. Life is good out here in the boonies.

UTV in for service on Friday - I miss not having it here. Didn't realize how much I use it for chores have to work on the apiary today and the UTV great for hauling frames and supplies. I have ATV, too, but it have the dump bed.

Enjoy the day and be safe!!

I did leaves yesterday, some of them anyway. With all of the time spent on family matters, yard work has not happened here for over a month. Not a good month for that to happen! I spent 5 hours hoovering up sopping wet leaves and getting the grass cut back down to a civilized level. I still have the gardens and nooks and crannies to clean out, plus gutters, and of course the trees still hold a fair number of leaves. But at least I can see my yard and driveway again!

Oh and this happened Thursday night during the mayhem wrought by the remnants of Tropical Storm Zeta. So I had to deal with that first, before the leaves. We're fortunate it didn't hit any structures.

Good morning, all. It rained pretty much all day here yesterday starting around 11:30. Snowed a bit overnight and ad some light flakes falling when I walked the dogs a few minutes ago. I need to pick up leaves, too, but will wait until Wednesday when they'll have a few days to dry out. Stay safe out there!!!

Yep.. seems like leaf pickup is every few days this time of the year.. but I live in the woods. I may mow one more time, usually mow frontage once in Nov.
My well guy is coming this am sometime, then go pick up what he needs to change out our pressure tank. Should be SOP.

Edited 5 Nov.. Great to have full shower pressure again! Considered changing original deep well pump motor, but it's still pulling less than rated amperage, and the well guy says if it quits someday, they'll be here same day to change it. Peace of mind is golden.
    Finally back on EST.:yay:

    Yesterday was winter preparation day.
1 day last week I put up the umbrella on the deck and made sure that it was dry and put it in the shed.
Yesterday the table, umbrella holder and chairs were placed in the shed.
Filled the snowblower with gas, I run it dry in the spring. It started on the second pull...yay!
Also put the plow on the quad...I'm ready...i think :)

A little something every chance we get.
    Morning y'all!
Glad to say I pretty much solved the leaf problem by eliminating trees! Only leaves are the ones in the pools from the neighbors Ash. Now, what we had was diseased Arizona Ash, close to 40 years old, and they were removed to add solar.
Small plants and pots went into the greenhouse, and that cured skirting with freezes for now. Giving myself this week to repot and haircut the big pots to bring in.
Putzing with the eFan controllers didn't go as planned. The original was not responding to AC, and the temp adjustment was NA. Still worked. Got a replacement to put in after the surgery, but it didn't work at all! Put the original back in, but it apparently took offense to the work, and quit completely. As of this AM, I will have a toggle switch until the replacement for the replacement comes.
Problems only old folks have.... My BiPap cleaning device puked the USB power connector. Of course, it's no longer available on Amazon. In fact, there are very few even similar now (I don't know why), and the nearest is $80, with all Chinese info, and the one I'd buy is $100+. Screw driver and solder, some epoxy on the side, and it's all better for now.
It's a BEAUTIFUL Monday morning here, so it just have to be a great week!
