do not pull out the sensor if you dont have too. if you did, it probably broke. i bought cheap Chinese knockoffs and it worked real well.

Please keep us informed as to how they work. But please don't report back until you have at least 50,000 miles on them.

I broke both of my sensors trying to get them out. I wanted to glass bead blast and paint the knuckles. I did 1 side and then did the other side about 2 weeks later. When I broke the 1st 1, I thought, “Oh well, they can’t be that expensive”. It turns out they’re $200 each for OEM. I found them for $20/pair with free shipping from China and decided I wasn’t willing to gamble. I ended up buying Beck Arnley sensors from Rock auto for $90 each. I figured that’s a respected company. They’re working fine, but they’ve only been in there probably 7K miles.

Remove it carefully. It’s more likely it’ll break not removing it than it is leaving it in while replacing the assembly.

If you were to do it again. Would you remove them? Or take a gamble and leave them in. Seems like it a 50/50 chance either way?

I did remove them last time. But I’m not to confident they will come out easy next time.

Says the guy in Texas. LOL Trucks from the rust belt rust outside the O ring and the sensor won’t come out easy.

That’s a tough call. Basically it cost me $200 to have painted knuckles. It’s getting a new frame and all new suspension, so it’ll be nice to have all nonrusty suspension.

i would leave them in... wort decision EVER was to take them out. fragile plastic sensors. just leave them in if you can. i have 35,000 miles on my CHEAP CHINEESE SENSORS. It's not 50,000 tho.... so i dont have enough miles on them to give any suggestions.....

My assumption is he’s in Tennessee. Do Tennessee vehicles rust bad? Last time I was there, I didn’t notice rusty vehicles like further north.

    No, not usually.
And so far I haven’t had much rust on mine.
My issue is mine are 13 years old, and I’m parked outside 24/7/365.
I just have this feeling, they aren’t going to want to come out easy.

I left them in. When replacing the hub assembly the axle guides you in.. you'd really have to try to hit those sensors. Just take your time.
