    Working on it ...
For me, I was replacing a second GEN off-road. The pro was never in the mix due to its exorbitant pricing. I knew I wanted a TRD, 4 x 4 and double cab long bed. Was leaning towards the OR.

After shopping around for a while it was the last week of 2019 and my regular dealer is only giving me between 1700 and 1900 off MSRP on a 2020. It was still a lot of money so I continued shopping. Went to another dealer and they had a brand new 2019 sport on the lot optioned almost exactly as I was looking for. It listed for 43K and they offered it to me for 36K + 1500 for my trade in That had well over 200,000 miles on it and a blown head gasket. I drove the new truck home that same day.

So, one of my choices was “affordable price” in the pole. So I guess that is sort of true. But if I went to the dealer and it was an off-road on the lot optioned the same way and they were offering the same discount, I probably would’ve bought that.

However 17,000+ miles later I have never looked back! Really did not need any of the things that the OR offered that made it different from the Sport

I had no idea you purchased your truck used, was simply pointing out if buying new they cost the same.

There really is NO other reason.

I wanted an OR and used this as a bargaining chip, walked out three times. The dealer called me with an offer I couldn't refuse!

Suspension will be the last thing to do, terrible in whoop-di-dews but have changed most bits, closer to OR

Not by myself, but yes, F & R. Used the F only 3 times, but they work great, nice having the air compressor as well.

I do off road my Sport, but man the shocks SUCK. There is no reason other than time, money and indecisiveness that I have not replaced them. Not sure I need a lift, I should just get some expensive Bilsteins and huck them on.

Nice, lockers anytime is great to have. I've been preparing and even put in a compressor and a 2 gal tank. I'm probably going to wait until the powertrain warranty is up at 5 years for at least the rear locker.

You can get 4 Bilsteins for less than $500, I think the stock springs and coils are fine.

Ha, it should last longer than those poly hoses that crack and split, I've thrown so many out, started buying the rubber ones awhile back

In fact, I don't regret choosing the TRD Sport at all as I drove and looked closely at all the Tacoma models prior to purchasing my Sport.

I believe the hood scoop and color coordinated fender flares definitely enhances the overall good and sporty looks of the Sport, however the main reason for my going with the sport was the extremely versatile driving experience provided by the Sport. It drives/rides like a high end SUV on the road, yet is still able to handle most any situation you are likely to find yourself in off the road.
Hard to beat that combination IMO and am surprised this reason wasn't listed as an option in your poll.

I don't think anyone mentioned the mechanical brake pump. Its electric on the OR and Pro. So, one less thing to worry about.
