Speaking or bars and Zims.......There was a cat named Zim who use to come up between sets in my old band. We'd supply him a rhythm section to back him up for his originals. Very fun. He'd coach us on the chord progressions and away we'd go.

Thanks, but I'm really just looking for something simple, such as a hook that attaches in the same way as the gas hole. Something with a piece of metal or plastic that I can hook the edge of the gas cap on so it doesn't just hang freely onto my fender (luckily I have the plastic fender flares). My Canyon had one built in.

Ok ok ok boys! Been a process and not all today but:

1) RCI bed rack
2) Maxtraxx
3) Rotopax
4) Prinsu Rack
5) Stedi light bar (love it)
6) Front Tow Hooks

 

Actually the strap on the gas cap will clip into the gas door latch so no one really needs a holder if this method is used. The holder that I use is 3D printed and probable cost about $5 in material from thingiverse.com which is free to download the file.

 

Did a little under hood work this weekend after laying mass loaded vinyl under carpets. I’ll do the back walls next weekend and possibly the ceiling if i get the time

 

Also mounted some hood lights with dsim module to turn on with rock lights. 12 Kc cyclones 8 rock lights 4 under hood lights

 

Are you not worried about the exposed terminals on the battery being a potential fire hazard?

 

I edited my post with what I was thinking of... Or at least something that functions the same. I did try the latch, but it wasn't very stable and the cap ended up falling off anyway.

Your idea is cool, but I also have no access to a 3D printer

 

All leads are properly fused within 12-18” of terminals including alternator I’m not worried. The battery is held down very firmly with no play and the terminals are clamped to the posts and tightened with set screw for extra insurance of not slipping off. I also have the proper circuit breaker in place with audio equipment being fused on both ends going into amp and terminals of battery and a .008 voltage drop when cranked up. Also my wiring is wrapped in exterior Tessa tape and then tech flex sleeving throughout. The wires underneath the truck near any heat have high heat sleeving around them and ziptied every 24 inches as well. I over killed some would say with my wiring as it’s all at least a gauge or two bigger than recommended on blue sea website and if you knew how many augmented grounds I’m running throughout the length of the truck you’d shit your britches
