What is the best way to "quiet" the tune down? To soften everything up? What tables would offer lighter throttle response and an overall softer feel? (hope that makes sense)

Well perhaps. But not a very helpful post given the thread topic.....

Any tune with "thx" (from OVTune directly) is an enhanced throttle response. Using one without that may be what you're seeking.

    I'll look into that.
I think the punch of the throttle is too much for sure. The engine just rockets with just a 1/4 of the pedal... To much for my liking.

You should really keep your posts in the MT thread. They assume you are AT in this one.

What you are requesting is exactly the same thing i have been focusing on. Did you try my PTTG1 map?

Grab one of OV's tunes and copy the S Gear throttle limit maps into the tune you are running. This will dramatically reduce the Daily Driven tip in. If you like the "Wild" mode, DO NOT change the Normal throttle limits.

Man I was trying to figure out how anyone could possibly want slower throttle response on the AT...MT makes sense lol. AT and MT calculate desired airflow differently so the maps guys have been adjusting in this thread won’t help you.

I thought it was odd as well, but I thought not everyone must wear lead shoes like I do. Lol

Glad someone recognized he drove a MT, I glanced at his info and didn't see anything. And if it's in his sig, I'm on mobile where I don't see that.

The winter blend fuels are out so they could be the issue with the loss of MPG's! I have noticed a drop in MPG's as well but still getting better MPG's out of any other tune.Truck has never driven better!

I bumped up the 4 --> 5 shift point at low throttle to shift over 40mph, it was shifting a little to soon.

Not sure where you left off, but:
    • AGM battery adjust
    • Torque converter lock and unlock
    • Gearlock
    • Higher throttle allowance
    • Greater/lesser tip in
    • Torque converter 1/2 lock
    • Tire size adjustment
    • Shift point adjust
    • More to come.

Ok, so I've been mucking around with the 04B91 STOCK tune and have a few versions to share with anyone else who - like me - is patiently (umm...) waiting for the updated 2.0 release for that ECU.

    Attaching the following files here:

    89663-04B91_STOCK_MOS_Mods_Notes.txt (version-specific tune details)
89663-04B91_STOCK_MOS_Mods_V0_NoSpeed&ThrottleNanny (nothing but nanny-death for speed and throttle)
89663-04B91_STOCK_MOS_Mods_V1_IdleDTAccTrq (V0 + Idle, Drivetrain Control (wheel size), some Acceleration and Torque tweaks)
89663-04B91_STOCK_MOS_Mods_V2_SmoothedAirFlow (V1 + an attempt at the published Airflow Control smoothing-out tweaks)
89663-04B91_STOCK_MOS_Mods_V2_LinearAirFlow (V1 + straight linear Airflow Control tweaks)

I'm actively running V0 (simplest) but have tested all of them. None break anything, but V1 and both V2 versions cause an interesting sucking/whining sound through the entire power/acceleration band. Sounds a little like turbo-whine but made me think I had a couple of dependent variables off. HOWEVER... V2_LinearAirFlow seriously improved 4th gear performance... so will definitely be playing with all these some more.

Mostly just wanted to put something editable in the hands of other 2020 6MT folks waiting on the update.

    Cheers, all!

    Cool, thanks!

    I'm 04B91, also waiting :)

I've been thinking about digging into the stock tune and trying some of the edits, too busy with work at the moment. Might get to editing soon, so it's nice to have some other examples to check out.
