    Again, buy the gun not the story. Not saying your relatives are liars, but stories tend to be stretched as they are passed down.

    For example, I was told my K98 was picked up during the battle of the bulge. But looking at the serial number it would tell you it was made in February of 1945. Well after the bulge.

    ditto... 300 series stainless for the leg of my garage work bench with a stanley vidmar on the other side and a 6ft butcher block top.


    the basement work bench is just steel legs with another vidmar on the other side and an 8 ft butcher block

    we use to get sanitary stainless for free all the time with my fathers job.. i still have 8ftx15ft 10 gauge stainless sheets... 4 of them.. waiting for my future garage to be the base of the wall for the wash bay..
