Keystone State Thread

I threw my back out cutting up a fallen tree and picking up leaves yesterday. So it is DEFINITELY a low physical labor day for me.

 

I know that feel.

 

Painting the bathroom today. We’re hosting a surprise 50th birthday party for a friend in early December so I now have an extended list of projects to complete.

 

Driving around a state park trying to find covering for a family photo shoot today. Not going well. Ugggh. Damn you rain.

 

Brother joe, kids and I only got about an hour an a half worth of wood splitting... rain came in an hour earlier than expected :-/

 

Figures. Pulled off somewhere around 250 photographs, get back to the station to download and the sun comes out.

 

It was clear in Southampton for all of about 10min.

 

Kinda bummed, we watched the weather for the last week and a half, up until last night, it was sunny/overcast which would've recreated their maternity shoot. Ah well, rain is needed for growth so I supose it fits!

Awesome brother! I love charcoal ! With as busy as my schedule is/was this year... charcoal was seldom used :-/ I also use some cherry wood depending what I’m cooking.... beer and smoking food. Nothing better!​

 

Probably one of my favorite dishes right here!

 

Can never go wrong with beef, broccoli, and mushrooms, and of course a beer.

Cabin day. Raining so we "worked" inside. Installed some mounts for four of the TEG generators that we use to power lights in the cabin. Perc'd (does anyone else do this?) some coffee and the lovely Mrs. 9mmMike cooked some steaks, corn cut from the cob, onions & taters in the larger cast iron skillet on the wood-stove. Followed by a nice nap, with dog on lap, in the rocker by the fire. A very not-bad day.

...and on the way, we saw a nice lifted 3rd gen on Long Lane in Oley. It was one of the greys, maybe magnetic, not sure. Parked in a drive.
