    Hey guys,

Bought this headunit from another member to install in an 05 4runner but slightly too big. Works since the plugs did match with other adapters. Should work with 2nd gen.

130 shipped to lower 48 states

Do you have a pic of the back, showing the jacks / connectors?

I don’t think this will fit a 2nd gen tacoma.

I have the same radio on my 2016 SR service truck. Yes it will fit a 2nd Gen .

Yes it is , I swapped them back and forth and they do fit my 2nd Gen without no modification. All the back plugs are the same unless you have a JBL radio.

So would a person with a stock second gen radio need the 3rd gen radio bezel surround in order to install this?

No need for a 3rd Gen bezel surround.

Here’s the rough opening size for both my 2016 and 2013 bezel surrounds

    8 1/4 inch wide
    4 3/8 height

If your 2008 have the same opening it should fit with no issues at all.

The head unit in my 2010 SR5 is starting to act flaky, so i’m considering picking this up as a replacement. My head unit is way bigger than the one in the pictures so i’m guessing I would need some sort of aftermarket bezel to get it to work in my 2010? Any idea what parts I would need? Also, would this unit work with the steering wheel controls and aux jack on my 2010?

@TacoTime10 theoretically it should work with the controls since its an OEM headunit.
From what I have read it will work in a second gen but please do research if consider purchasing.
