I am just waiting for a Pro really in a Manual. Every one I find is an auto, in either white or black. If a Lunar Rock shows up it's mine.

Welcome to canada eh. My truck was 42500, i talked them down do 39500. After taxes, wheels and all that BS, 50k

Pro was 52k in 2018, so came to about 61k when all said and done.

My borla exhaust was 790$ which was a steal, in states its like 350. Same goes for pretty much everything else regarding mods or aftermarket parts.

I bought A pro so I could sell the fox "lift", tires, and wheels off it to buy what I wanted. I also could de-badge and sell those! Anyone want to buy some pro badges? How about my seats? I am gonna sell those and get Sheelmann ones. Gonna start making my new bumper this winter if anyone wants to buy some OEM Rigid LED Pro Fogs. Got a Pro sale going on!

    I purchased in 2018.

I dislike the scoop, but could not have cared either way.

The Fox suspension is like a diet Fox suspension.

And I wanted the 4R Pro wheels.

I also fully intended to add aftermarket MT tires, a winch and bumper.

I almost felt like cutting up a Pro was wrong, but my Dealership would not budge on Pro MSRP and I got them down to $34k for my OR with the wheels, Tonneau and a tool box +weird).

Sold take offs for $800, so $33,200 vs. $42k was a no brainier.

Wanted something reliable, not so huge, and loaded with all the options for our trip up the Dalton and Dempster among others.
Plus im 60 so not sure how many more trucks I will be able to get.
Started the salesmen email wars with jeep, ford GMC and toyota.
None of them would budge, but the toyota guy did.
    End of story

In the Midwest (Indiana Specifically) I have seen most Pros at MSRP. Have seen some at 1-2k under MSRP. Can’t believe people pay these crazy markups. Just take a $350 flight and drive it home!

I don’t think there is anything wrong with paying 45-60k for a truck that you can use how you want.

But I think for someone who builds /mods off road vehicles it would be very hard for them to justify 15k over some base sr5 or OR which you can add new parts making it vastly more capable vs what the pro offers. Essentially you “know better”. This is if you want to really push the truck. Most pro owners who get out on trials and see what else is possible will typically replace all the pro parts with more serious stuff.
And unlike an SVT raptor or M series BMW most of the fundamental parts on a Pro are exactly the same as a sr5. Identical motor / transmission. Most of the suspension is also exactly the same (spindle , control arms) so it the same level of strength and travel numbers.
I’m just saying , with 15k extra you can take a new sr5 and make it perform much better and it will look way meaner (full metal bumpers and sliders, mud tires, even add the raptor grill lights and a light bar).
The same argument can’t be made for a base F150 or base BMW 3 series because so much of the car (Engine, body work...)would need to be moded so it’s cheaper to just buy the raptor or M3. Also replacing engine parts effects reliably, while replacing coil overs and stronger control arms and armor improves reliability.

When I began looking for a truck 6 months ago I liked the Sport because of how it looked, but when I optioned in everything I wanted, I was within a couple grand of a Pro. Couple that with changes I wanted to make to the Sport after purchase (wheels, etc) and for me it made more sense to spring for the Pro. Now I have a truck that i think looks great, and has some really great capability right out of the factory along with a warranty.

If I find myself in a situation where I want/need to pull Pro specific items off the truck for aftermarket, so be it - but I'll see if I ever push the pro to the point where its even a conversation first.

PA also (western), purchased the auto transmission truck without options. Got lucky last weekend of the year and they took about $2,700 off the sticker, no BS fees, just tax and plates. Been thrilled until the stupid fuel pump recall. Added the exact same options except went for the NFab Podiums instead of the Predators. Also getting the drivers grab handle which have been produced just waiting on shipping to the USA.

I looked at it as $2,000 more vs a off road with leather etc. the 2k was worth it knowing I didn’t have to scramble to do skid plates, wheels, lift, exhaust , grill, lights etc. I also knew resale long term was better so for me it was an easy decision

Not sure how much technicality I have on voting, I bought mine pre owned from a private seller and I got it way cheaper than I could get a base model during the crazy COVID mark up. I do like that it has everything already and didn’t have to make sacrifices which I was already planning for. A 2019 for $37k wasn’t shabby in my opinion.

I didn’t .. waste of money just to get some badges fox shocks and rims.. . Don't understand know why they call it a pro . If it had some metal bumpers rock-sliders .real suspension and lift with some beefy tires .
