So I just got the midpipes but to answer your question downstream I may end up going with the Magnaflow Performance 12619 6" Muffler and dumping out in front of my rear wheel well

cool. report back when you know how it goes.

i just [re] installed the OV dump tubes last week, and the sound has changed so much that I've already ordered a new muffler, an 18" Gibson. i have a feeling I'll be able to take out the last run of 3" piping and the second 3" resonator, and just run 2.5" after the first resonator back to the new muffler, see the pic below. if it works as i hope, I'll get improved sound and a tighter flow so better throttle. we will see.

So I installed the resonators, y pipe and went to the factory exhaust location. A couple issues. Driver side resonator was too short and can’t bolt up properly which had cause a big leak and I was driving home from orange and it threw a code and for some odd reason every time I turned it would turn off my traction control ? Any ideas ? I think I’m gonna call around and get someone to professionally install it cause some things need to be cut and ready welded and I don’t have a tube bender

I'm not sure about the TC thing. kinda odd but I'm sure there's just something we don't know about it. good luck solving the leaks, should be good after install.

I got my Gibson ready and waiting for install and #2 resonator removal next week, another dice roll with the exhaust..

Yeah the TC thing was very odd. It didnt start happening till check engine came on either. Once that came on any lh or rh turn I made it showed the tc off which was very very odd to say the least.

So I called an exhaust shop that one of my buddies has been using for years and years and he said he'll see what we can do to get this resolved. I've read me running the truck with a leak throwing the sensor causes it to run lean obviously buring unnecessary fuel but a guy I work with said that it can burn up my wiring harnesses and mess up my internals have you heard anything about that ? What gibson are you using ?

    Gibson CFT Superflow Center/Center Oval Muffler Stainless 2.5" in/out, 18" length, #55152S

Yeah, I don't think im going to waste my time. I'm just going to have this guy do an x pipe and run dual exhaust down to a black widow neighborhater and dump it out in front of the rear wheels call it a day haha ! But

Yeah, Ill post pictures and feedback ! I'm thinking having him run it behind the axle and do an exhaust dump behind the rear wheel out the lower part of the body

most folks don't have any complaints about that, but you're talking post-axle? i did a pre-axle dump for a few days early after installing the URD mk2 Y. my rear window sucked exhaust gas in and the resonance from under the bed was nuts. i installed a tailpipe the next week. but I've never seen any other experiences like that. :notsure:

Yeah I was thinking pre axle dump and going out the body but im a short bed and dont think its enough room to do so, So post axle dump it is. Just to do something different. Haven't seen it yet and see how it goes. Worst case scenario i dont like it and when I get my wide body fenders I just run it out the back. But I don't see any issues running it that way, do you ?

i doubt it's a problem, so many trucks around here do that and don't have complaints.

my tailpipe is on the side just a little ahead of the rear corner, more rear than the stock location by a few inches. depending on how next week's work pans out that may be on the table for change. getting a bit anxious messing with my exhaust again, the kind of anxious where i can't wait to do it. I'm out of town right now so Thursday at the earliest.

So I sat down last night trying to configure my resonators to work and my passanger side fits great but driver side has a bunch of issues the way the bends are in the tubes it literally doesn't fit properly without heavy modifications. So I think im gonna have the guy doing my exhaust take em out put my cats back on and call it a day. As much as I love it it's too much of an issue right now with the thorley set up. Biggest headache ever with it lmao

So I brought it to the guy and he said I wont get as much performance with the dual outlet so were just keeping it simple and dumping it right before the axle and doing all new piping with the blackwidow neighborhater
