Night vision is absolutely insane. So much fun, have been walking around a field next to the house for the past hour or so.

Never been a fan of Glocks... Ever since I first played with one back in early 2000s... “Glock the block” Lol.

Fast forward to today at the range, got to play with a 19 gen 5... Loved it. So much so that it has me seriously considering it instead of the elusive p320 x compact that I’m currently looking for. Ain’t that a bitch...

    Congrats man, enjoy it!

    Someone buy my P-07!!!

I’ve always liked Glocks this is my first 19, however I’ve had 2 sigs and they are a better gun however i shoot this better. I got rid of a M18 and 365xl to get it.
Earlier gen 5 had the finger groves on the grip and a cutout near the mag well that bites ya. The newer ones don’t .

    Got you.

Im with you on that. I have Sigs (and CZ) and love them.

That’s hardcore tho, getting rid of two great guns to have just the 19? I’m thinking getting rid of just one would have been enough to get you a 19, no? Or did you just let them go very cheap and quickly?

Never have even considered a Glock. But I started seeing some custom Glocks that caught my eye. The aftermarket support on Glock is insane.

Yesterday I ended up shooting a 5th gen 19 and loved it. One “early production/mag well cutout” and although it was pinching my pinky upon firing, I loved it. I was surprised at how quickly my shooting got adjusted to the “new” ergo.

I’ll probably end up with a Glock in the future. Let’s see how long I can resist the urge. Lol.

They didn't have finger groves, but they have a cutout in the front strap that wears on the pinky and makes it slightly awkward to reload. They also don't have front slide serrations.

Got ya. That magwell cutout was a feisty little fucker. Pinched my pinky a couple of times. Still enjoyed the hell out of the gun.

I hear of a lot of controversy in regards to which generation is the best gen 19, Any input on that ?

I sold them both cause I shot Josh’s 19 better with iron sights than those 2 with optics I made a little profit on them not much though. I also ordered a plate carrier and plates along with that money.
I went the P80 route also for “custom” it’s a fun little hobby.

I think the current production Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS is the best generation factory Glock.

I believe the Gen 3 is the best, currently, for customizing. Gen 4 is going out of production this year.

funny you say that... one of the reasons the Glock really captured me is that it took me only one mag to get used to the 19 and outshoot my 365. On another note, my shooting with the 320 will easily outdo the 19’s.

It is fun. Feels like cars, just in a slightly smaller scale. Can get just as expensive tho.
