Absolute beautiful day here! 70 degrees and sunny! 114 miles of just awesome.

Get out and ride y’all! :bikewheelie:

    EDIT:
Also, the girl is riding nice! She’s got a lil pep in her step if you will. Feels more confident passing trucks.

    85 @ 5200 rpm.....what’s redline on Sportys anyone? :notsure:

Been a while, what with moving, and all the crap that goes with it. Especially since we’re selling our house.
Anyway, got out for a little ride. Rattlesnake Bar, Folsom Lake. Only noise I heard was a train rolling through somewhere to the northwest of me. Haven’t been in this neck of the woods since I left this area back in 1984.

After the G5 moved up to a KE 175, that thing was junk, waited 3 months for parts, rotary valve trashed the engine, then went to a KE250, 77 I think, that was another good one.

For now, El Dorado Hills, CA. Spent 20 years of my life here in Sac area from 2nd grade through some college days. Know a lot of people still in town. Wife and I will use the next year to take a couple trips to see what looks good. Going to be quite the challenge to find something we both like.

Also look at the description of ownership between the two.

Could one screw up two ads any worse? I think not. ;)

    Good stuff.

    Planning to escape California?? :ballchain:

Wife and I keep trying to convince my in-laws. FIL wants out, MIL doesn’t wanna budge. They live in Scotts Valley.

My parents....they’re perfectly happy in the small border town I was raised in.

so my buddy of many many years wants to ride the TAT when we retire in about 8 years

......and I'm wondering what the "best" bike will be....I have a Vstrom 650 and a KLX 250 S but was thinking maybe a WR 250 R or a DR ......not sure just throwing it out there....

i reckon that'll be a last hoorah and we'll end up fixing small engines, drinking beer, and "gardening" and then enjoying are gardening.... but who knows...

My folks lived in Scotts Valley for a short time. They liked it very much. Until the quake of 89 hit. Talk about being thrown for a loop.
Here's the house we're selling in Jokeland.

Gonna miss it. Independence Day was spectacular. Every block in the hood was trying to outdo every other block. From sundown to after midnight it was insanity on display. EVERY YEAR I lived in Oakland it was amazing. 22 years. 16 years in a house closer to the hood, and this one, for 6.

Why not consider something he could enjoy the calmer side of retirement with?
