They mail everyone a ballot here and you mail it back or take it to a drop off.
I got mine Oct3 and mailed it back Oct5.
She got hers Oct3 and it's still sitting on the kitchen table..

    Thank you :)

Yep, that’s what’s going to put this election in a fucking tailspin. I voted in person at an official polling place. Not saying mail in is wrong but it’s a way to call discrepancy

They will find a way for ballots to not count. I’m not implying this from either side I’m just saying not either side will agree with the results

Florida has some wackadoodle voter laws, you don't get to vote for individuals you pretty much have to select a party and that's all you get all the way up, plus you have to vote in local elections early to be able to vote in the primarys or something.

I don't fully understand it, nor do I really care about politics, all I know is I missed my opportunity to get registered and vote while I was in the hospital.

Should have registered to vote when you turned 18. Not society’s problem that you haven’t done it

I didn't vote for either side lol

I've heard of states having the option to do straight-ticket voting but not having that as the only option.
    That's pretty shitty.
Nobody says you have to register to vote.

Not every state does automatic registration.
Even if your state does automatic registration, there's usually the option to opt-out if you want.
No state that I know of requires you to register to vote.
You need to be registered to vote in order to participate in elections, but voting isn't compulsory. So if you don't want to vote, you don't have to register.

Texas I wasn’t registered till I was 25. Had to pay like $5 while renewing my license. I’ve voted since then. 15 years

Ah, for Michigan I registered when I was 18 at the same time I registered for selective service lol. So it's been 10 years.
Now that I think about it though, most/all of the elections I've voted in were by mail, too. Either absentee for Michigan or by using Colorado's mail-in ballots.
