Don't feel bad for me about that. It’s a good reminder.... something about vanity.... it was after all a mod with zero purpose beyond appearance. I think new stickers or a can of spray paint are good appearance purchases. But this was to much to spend for looks...

If you can’t pay the mortgage or put food on your table, then I agree it is too much. On the other side though, the world is full of so much crap to deal with on a daily basis, that anything you can reasonably afford to pay to put a smile on your face each day is worth it in my opinion. Sometimes you just have to do what makes you happy, even if it doesn’t always make sense practically or financially. Just my two cents. You’ll work it out one way or another

Ive had these 6 months and love them— they have proven themselves w 3 yr old, two dogs in mud and sand, dumping full nalgenes of water. Only question is I realized recently the front ones I have didn’t have airbag friendly design (seat airbag). Trying to decide if I should cut the seams along the sides to mimic what I presume an airbag friendly design would do.

looks good- maybe a silly question; is this in place of a battery blanket for cold weather to keep topped off? Im from MN and never used one but now Utah so only true cold is in the mtns but considering ways to prep (I see the old Tacoma world Canada/Alaska forums talk block/oil pan heaters as well but I’m thinking battery is probably enough)

Which mat did you end up going with? I'm thinking of doing the exact same thing.

    87 fuel added as needed.
Tractor supply mats work great. Solid weight too.

I have a tractor supply, rural king and a southern states so plenty of choices. Assuming you took down the 4'x6' version.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
And cheaper. I get a $3-5 "tax" most places. Or just pay twice as much at big and tall shops. That means I'm wearing some of my "mod money."

Review: Direct Fit Magnetic Phone Mount by Course Motorsports

So I was approached to see if I would install this new mount and write a review on it. Folks I have been told by (3) employers over my life that I am too honest. So the mount arrived late yesterday by mail but I really wanted to get it installed as I had planned to drive the truck today. It was 9 PM but I started anyway. Guys watch the video, it truly can be installed in less than 3 minutes! it includes a rectangle steel piece and a round steel piece for attachment to the phone. Rectangle measures close to 2 1/2" x 1 3/4".

The mount design is awesome as it is NO DRILL whatsoever. Pop off the Vent trim, remove the (4) radio 10mm bolts, slide the perfectly bent mount under the top left radio tab and reinstall the bolts. Snap the trim back on and you are done. The mount seems very stable as it is tightened down against the dash frame. The round ball screws onto the mount threads. To me, it felt a little loose so I used some thread locker on it. Now, this review is for the quick painless install, I will return later on with a "use" review down the road. The link below to the company.

Straight was the initial thought, and then I had to be different. It's caused me problems all my life. I need a 12 step group...lmao. I still think I can get this up there without a fight, but it's not over yet. Thanks for the comment.
