Can you take a picture of the Woolwax? I am looking at a Tacoma to buy and I can't tell from the pictures if they painted the bottom black or used Woolwax. The car is at a used car dealer, so I am not sure they will be honest if I ask.

Thanks Mason :hattip: The first coat or two were nice looking. I mixed the dark walnut stain with the linseed oil. It looked like and almond or honey color.

    20201102_160524~2.jpg

    I wanted them much darker.

I'm going to wait 2-3 days, see how they look, and if needed, hit them once more with just the stain, like I did today for the 2nd & 3rd coats. If they stay dark enough though, then I will begin with coats of just linseed oil. I want to do at least 3 but maybe 4. I'd like to put each coat on them in the afternoon if it's full sun and leave them out. When I go to get the mail after dark, I bring the whole workmate in the garage as is. I have some 000 steel wool I'll lightly hit them with first, then air, and a quick swipe with a rag. Then oil.

This reminds me of my woodshop days in high school. Those cheesy projects we had to do when the teach was looking, and not so credible things when he wasn't

Here are a few I already had. It’s not the best but top is before and bottom is after Woolwax sprayed. It could be a rubberized coating, paint or black Woolwax. Might have to touch it to see what it really is.
