I just got the Tekton 3/4 40” breaker bar a week or so ago. I figure if i have to use this, its either coming lose or coming off in pieces lol

I’ve also got the 1/2” and 3/8” ones.

I'm also going to buy shock's nuts.

    Wait...

Where does the copper antiseize go? On the lug bolts themselves? On the lugs? Also, why copper? I have lithium and I think it's got a warning that says not to use for wheel lugs. Do you have to make an adjustment to final torque if you use the copper antiseize? I've seen 5-10 ft lb reduction recommended for other antiseize.

On the face of the rotors / drums. Just a smear that doesn't splatter.

You can put lube on the wheel studs, but you have to reduce torque by up to 40% depending on what you used. I would only ever consider this if they were somehow rusting badly.

It was a good thing i did this when i did. 2 tires came off no issue. 1 required minor persuasion. 1 was stuck af.

All good now. Did both trucks.

Yeah. Some can really stick. One of ours did badly. Our current ones are good and can skip this.

Although, a lot of the tire shops around here will hit hubs with a wire wheel. I think there was a recall or notice about this some years ago? Excessive rust build up allowed lugs to loosen as the wheel worked against the build up?

Oh I see. Where you've applied the copper stuff is where the inside of the wheel contacts the rotor or drum. I'm now learning that even with all the lug nuts off the wheel could still be difficult to remove because of this surface contact, and this antiseize prevents that.

There is a strange mechanical device attached to your rear drums (green circle). I think the red circle is an antenna. Could be a GPS tracker.

May want to get that checked our before it causes extra braking power and easy pad replacements.

I will say that I have had a couple difficult pad swaps on rear disks. It looks like the Tundra is about as simple as the fronts on our Subaru, with a pad holder and the caliper slipping over top?
