I’m going on 5 years with mine. Not one issue. I also make a point to keep it maintained and in good running order. But I hear what you are saying. In general echo has a good reputation, at least from my research. But to each their own

Just to be clear, someone in the profession can be very biased. Example being my buddy that owns an automotive shop always recommends snap on, which I highly disagree is needed for the average diy car guy.

I love me some L&L every now and again. I pay and I forget the dude never asked my name and there were a bunch of people there. Couple minutes later, he calls my name ahead of everyone else. Man, I appreciate service like that.

Love service like that man. A place in west sac always has my sake bomb ready when they see me in the parki g lot. Or the taco place that knows how many asada tacos you are getting and what kinda beer with it. Or the winery that has my bottle out and ready when they see me pull up.

Hand split on site with a splitting axe plus a steel wedge to help on the larger sections. Had no choice, the oak rounds were too heavy to lift up to the tailgate. Splitting Axe is shown in this pic next to chainsaw case.

Hopefully, the tree stays moist. That was kinda the direction I was going. Would not want that to dry out before the big day
