Ripped off all four mudflaps. Scratches all down both sides 6112’s up front on 3rd notch 5100’s in back with Toytech 1” block Skids & sliders from SOS Concepts I got rid of the 1” block and put on Wheelers 1 1/2” progressive AAL. SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.

I'm still rubbing my cab mounts pretty badly. I'm also hitting wheel well plastic lol. So i still have some trimming to go. We'll probably take another hack at the CMC. I don't think we took enough off

I used a heat gun to melt the plastic and bend the plastic out of the way.

I did the same but the heat ended up warping the plastic. I found a box cutter a better solution lol. The. Used flex seal to make sure it was all sealed back up

I really don't know what my next realistic step is lol. Can I actually remove the liner and not worry about mud up there? I clean my truck regularly

If you get a snorkel you dont need the liners. If you ever want 35s, you should pull them for stuff clearance anyway.

If you ever want 35s you should just go ahead and take that cab mount back as close as you can to the bolt too.

Good stuff, thanks! I also noticed I'm only rubbing my wheel well when I compress HARD and only on the driver's side. I have 2x group 35s up there so weight plays a major role.
I have some preload adjustments to do still on my bp51s up front to even out my rake. Hoping after I get my preload up about 8mm, I can also stiffen the driver's compression with the spanner and keep from smashing my driver's side tire hard enough to hit the wheel well.
The CMC is gonna be a bitch to get back in there and do again... I'm hoping the preload helps there as well.

My order of operations now is, clean the truck, get it to POR 4x4 for them to tune the front shocks and get my preload properly set... Then I'll go for an alignment and see what she does. If I still rub, I'll have to go back for a better CMC, and I'll have to figure something with my liners.

Not gonna lie, when these bp51s warm up, it feels like a baja truck out there lol

@Summers_Kytaco_19 did I ever tell you about the time I did a cab-mount- UN chop on a 3rd genner? Cost twice as many beers :burp:

You should do your own wrenching as much as possible too. It helps you actually understand what alignments and such are doing and that can be beneficial when youre trying to clearance things and the like. Plus, you charge less than an offroad shop for guys who are less competent at working on tacos than everyone in this thread

Yessir. Most of the work has been done by myself or with buddies. I've learned A LOT in the last year!

It makes you alot more confident that when things go to shit you'll probably be able to take care of it unless your engine grenades itself

Totally.... This past weekend we broke a bolt on a trailing arm on the SXS... I commented that so many people would have packed up and went home not knowing what to do... But since we had some people with experience, we went to the hardware store, got what we needed, and fixed that bitch before our night ride.
Being mechanically inclined to any level is very helpful.
I'm very thankful for the guys here and my buddies that help me!

Anyone have any tips on getting the front bumper off? I can't seem to get the clips off from inside the wheel well. Need to get the headlights I purchased a few months ago installed.

Also - anyone know the part # for the push pins on the grill? OR a good aftermarket option on Amazon?

With those fancy coilovers you should very much be able to get the height and preload to not rub your cab mount. Been saying that for months. I don’t have a cab mount and have never rubbed back there. I don’t think continuing to chop up your cab mount is going to make it much better. Your front end sits very low

That's going to be my first step before touch the cab mount again. Just need the opportunity to get it done.
POR 4x4 in alexandria offered to do it for me.. so I'll take them up on that in the next few weeks!

Second time I've heard that actually... Which isn't a good sign lol. But he's been dead on and honest with me so far. I don't think adjusting my preload Is that big of a task, so I'll have them do it most likely. They're also like 4 miles from me
