I had a '73 TONKA (Hilux) with custom sponge paint and white 8-spoke Western wheels back in the day. I need to scan a pic of that.

Then I had an '88 up until it got ripped off in Baja last year. Both of these approached the 500K mark and had more left in them.

My brother had the supra mk 1 based on that model. Fairly rare. I never liked the a40. 70-77, 83-85. They were fine driving, I just thought they were ugly. the 22re was the pinnacle of toyota engineering... all down hill from there.. well a slow glide. All the awesome of the 18/20/22r + EFI. If it weren't for the rust problems... I'm still looking for a strong 77 if anyone has one for sale in the area.

 

haha, no power when you have 22RE w/33x12.50's, and terrible gas mileage. I sold that yota and bought a dodge cummins, which i sold and got the blue tacoma

LOL, oops, yup. It was an '89. At the time I was only 8 so the 31's looked a lot bigger.

 

My first Toyota Truck was a 1981 Single Cab Long Box, in the lovely green. Spent more time tinkering on the engine then I did driving it, but still loved it.

Now I have a 2006 DC LB TRD Sport, and love it even more (definetly not the same truck as the old one)!

 

My 91 mr2 440rwhp all done by myself and kris at Ko racing when I worked there!!!! Miss her a bit the x runner is a bit slow lol

 

My first Toyota was a 92. I'm now on my fourth Toyota and third Tacoma.

No Mods except an aliphatic bedliner. Sold because I moved to the North East (now I'm back in SoCal) and I wasn't going to try to drive in the snow with a one legger!

 

Then: 2001 Tundra

Drove for 3 years. Then sold it to pay for a new Tacoma. I still miss her.
