Called the dealership. They said they have no parts or fix yet. They said to wait for a letter from Toyota or to call back in a month. It’s no big dea imo.

Got mine done Friday. Dropped it off 7:30 am. Said it would be done by 2 pm. Called them at 3. Still wasn’t done. They called me at 4 that it was done. They did drop the fuel tank (I had less than 1/4 tank).

Moderate off-roading Saturday 25 miles total and no issues.

Had mine done yesterday and they did it with a full tank of gas. Went in for 40k mile maintenance and while at drop off they said they had a pump in stock that another customer canceled for and they ended up using it for my truck. But they did it with a full tank of gas.

Just got mine done today. Dropped it off at 8am and it was ready by noon. I only drove it from the dealership to the house which is close. It drove just like it did when I dropped it off.

I would imagine that someone along the chain of command is just trying to ration the amount of people making appointments.

I said it several times. My 19 was on the list from the beginning. It took a year to get the pump replaced. There were a shit load on that list. You just made the list. So now you must wait until all the people on the first list are served. Unless it dies on you just drive it.

Going through this thread, there is a range on the time it takes to change the Tacoma fuel pump and it seems it starts around 2 hours and up.
Apparently the dealer has a crew that does these fuel pump change outs.

I got mine done and here it what happened:
Took it to the Toyota dealer for the recall and hand over the keyfob (with close to an empty tank).
For 2 hours, 45 minutes: Tacoma sits at the dealer parking lot in line for service.
For the next 1 hour, 10 minutes: They drive Tacoma from parking lot into the service bay to change pump and drive back to the parking lot.
25 minutes later: notified it was complete.

So, the pump was actually changed within 1 hour and 10 minutes.
I keep thinking, that was done pretty quickly but rationalize they been doing so many fuel pump changes now they are pretty efficient at it?
Plus, they have all the right tools, racks, etc.

The truck runs the same - don't really notice any difference.
I got the paperwork that it was done.

Odd, I got the same response from the dealer and Toyota: No remedy has been identified. It seems R&R of the subject low press. fuel pump is the remedy.

    Finally got some answers:

Yes - your 2019 is recalled even if you haven't received a letter.
It is in Interim - which means they are spacing the recalls because they cant all be fixed at the same time.
No - we can not pull your recall remedy in until Toyota says its officially in Recall status regardless of your Thanksgiving road trip...

Had the recall performed yesterday. No bed removal as promised. Works just like before; completely transparent. Dropped at 9:30am, picked up at 3pm.

Mostly electrical shit that nobody cares about.
I had my dealership perform the recall on Tuesday. Dropped it off at 7AM but they were swamped with service all day so I didn't pick it up till 5PM. Drove home, parked and noticed a small fuel leak. The next morning it wouldn't start and dumped a lot of fuel on my driveway so I had it towed back and lost half a day from work.

Moral of the story: Check your repair before leaving the service center! Press the start button twice without your foot on the pedal to prime the new pump and pressurize the fuel lines. Or... just don't bother with the recall.

Safety recalls have to be performed for a vehicle to be registered.

I understand your concern, that may very well be the case and I'm not advocating for this. But I'd like you to provide a source because in reality, plenty of vehicles pass their annual inspection with active recalls on their record. Just saying it's an option.
