Sorry dumb question on the purchased tune files. What's the difference between the ones that end .vft and .thx (or whatever it is)?

There shouldn't be any that end in .thx, that's a feature on some AT maps.

.vft maps are editable within the vFT software; these come with the purchasable tune packs

.p5 or p5f, whichever it is, are not editable but can be flashed via the dongle-less p5flash software

.pcm maps are not editable and can be flashed with the original dongle PCMFlash software. No 2.0 or future maps will be supported in this format

Thx is an enhanced throttle response. Otherwise, tunes are the same when labeled the same except for thx

He did ask recently for a couple of volunteers to test the conclusion tune. We can all taste it now it’s so close. :)

I check in to see any updates myself just as everyone else that’s interested does. It’s always these smirky unwanted and unhelpful comments that accomplish nothing.

The last time I looked he posted something about testing for full release and started with 2016 trucks with 5.29 and larger tires if I remember correctly. Shows it’s probably getting close.

If anyone has room to gripe or be concerned, think of 2019 guys and possibly the 2020 guys. 2019 owners to this date still have not received a functional performance tune. Not an update, but no original fully functioning performance tune. We’ve received betas and now a well rounded base tune but not the performance version. 2016-2018 guys have received a tune that works for base and performance but are waiting on an improved update.

Just hang out and be patient and if nothing decent to say, just read. If you have a legitimate complaint then let him hear it as that’s your rights as a consumer. But the snarky remarks of ‘soon’ seem to bother the creators and seem to delay it more because if it were me, I’d say to myself, for every person that says soon, another month delay.

Nothings owed to anyone technically except possibly the 2019 guys that haven’t ever received the performance tune. Hopefully that’ll come through one day and then all will be happy or they’ll buy vf tuner. Other option would be find someone else and pay them to tune it but either way pretty sure most of the developers headaches will then be gone. Well, ‘soon’, as others say it :)
