Let's See Your Cats!!!

If the kitts were weaned, whether mom was fixed or not then it's a natural reaction. They are considered competition now. I've seen that with the feral cats that I tend to - the kitts get weaned and mom wants no part of them; she will not share food with them and she will schoo them as if she's annoyed. Bottom line, they will survive.

 

It had to do with being fixed, she became more irritable in general after that

She now growls like a bear if you pick her
up, and cant be pet

 

I would get her looked at by a vet, it could be that something isn't right from when she got fixed or some other kind of health issue. Cats are independent creatures in general but even more so when they don't feel well, they don't want to be bothered by anyone or anything.

The vet can give you better advice too on how to help the kittens if it just turns out that she's one of those cat moms that doesn't want to nurture their young, it happens

 

These two idiots just got a bit of kibble for lunch. Marty (left) is still eating like every meal is his last.
It was funny seeing them sitting together like this as they usually battle at mealtime.
Ollie still outweighs Marty by at least 4-5lbs. So he’s constantly kicking Marty’s ass
Considering Marty’s over a year old now I think he’s going to permanently be a “smol boi”

 

I would take mom to the vet. Discomfort or pain would definitely change her personality.
